About Sigg
It all started with a simple hiker's bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Küng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water?
A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating.
Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating?
A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable.
Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks?
A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top.
Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended.
Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer
A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

The Sigg thermos is a good investment if you like your hot drinks hot and your cold drinks cold. It does cut some nice features out to maintain the simplistic design (such as a handle), but like I said, it does it's main job very well.
If you like a simple/sophisticated design then you will enjoy this thermos. I've used my red thermos daily for almost a month and it hold up to a liter. It does appear that the outer shell can scratch fairly easy and I find myself treating it gingerly, but that is the trade off for a candy apple red exterior.
The thermos is double-walled and vaccuum sealed as well. If you never owned a thermos before this one will blow your mind with how well it keeps things hot or cold.
I make smoothies in the morning, and by the end of the work day, there are still ice crystals inside. I'm not saying it is exactly the same as 8am when I make it, but it's pretty darn close. I like to joke around by saying this thermos "is like a mini refrigerator." I am happy with my purchase for $35.

although the manufacture said it's 1.0 liter the bottle barley holds 0.75 liters other than that it's perfect

I like the Sigg collection and bought in total 6 thermos and 4 ordinary ones.
However to my dismay, the thermos are made in China.
I could hardly accept the fact @@
Had I known this, I would buy Zojirushi :(

Here is why the customer should feel cheated by Sigg: The following is taken directly from Sigg website. Note esp. the sentence "And certainly one of the reasons is the fact that we make 100% of our SIGG-branded bottles at our own factory in Switzerland."

Subject: Swiss Quality

For decades, SIGG bottles have been held in the highest regard as the best reusable bottles in the world. And certainly one of the reasons is the fact that we make 100% of our SIGG-branded bottles at our own factory in Switzerland. The Swiss are highly respected and trusted for standards related to safety, health and the environment.
Over the years, the technology behind our bottles has evolved as we have always strived to build a better bottle. Of course, before we go into production, we spend months and sometimes years in development and testing. We work very closely with our suppliers to ensure that all of the ingredients that go into the making of a SIGG bottle are in full compliance with international safety standards.
Many consumers tell us, "my water taste great in a SIGG bottle!" And that's because of our protective liner which coats the inside of a SIGG. This proprietary, non-toxic liner is sprayed on and baked to become inert - resulting in no taste transfer and no scent transfer no matter what you are drinking.
We firmly believe that SIGG Switzerland invests more in testing bottles than any other maker of reusable bottles. Testing of SIGG bottles is conducted by independent laboratories and we regularly publish the results of those tests on our website so that our customers can see for themselves.
At SIGG, we take product quality and customer satisfaction very seriously.
It's the Swiss way.
