I've been searching for years for the perfect water bottle. I'm very picky. I knew just what I wanted in a water bottle and these fit the bill. I'm also lazy and unscrewing and screwing a cap on an off everytime I want a drink is unacceptable. Bought two of these and was so pleased I bought two more. They're beautiful, sturdy, and don't have the lining that we now hear also leaks chemicals into the water like some other water metal bottles. Personally, I don't like the sipper bottles cause it's harder to get a good mouth full w/ them. These have a nice wide opening and another to allow air in, so all you need is to put to your mouth and tip up to get a good mouth full of drink. They have a handy push button that pops open the spring loaded top in a flash for a quick drink. The top keeps the mouth piece clean between drinking and has a flip bar to keep it locked when you don't want it to accidently open. These are very sturdy. I put one in the freezer only planning to leave it there for about 15 minutes to cool down my drink, got invited to go somewhere and forgot about it. Didn't get back to take it out of the freezer until 10 hrs later. I was sure the bottle would be ruined, but it was fine. Only thing happened was a fine hair-line crack on the outer cap that doesn't interfer w/ the functioning of the bottle and can barely be seen. I simply reinforced w/ a tiny bit of super glue and it's fine. I've seen Sigg bottles that were put in the freezer and they weren't a pretty sight afterward - distorted and unuseable. Also accidently left one on the bumber of the truck after fishing. It came off on the freeway at 70+ mph and my husband actually saw it bouncing behind. We went back and picked it up. It had the insulating sleeve about 3/4 of the way up it. It received a few scratches, but no dents and the cap didn't break! Now that's one tough bottle!!! Although not insulated, I just used a generic insulating sleeve they sell for bottles at my local market and it keeps things cold for hours. As you can see, I'm really tough on my water bottles and I don't have to worry w/ this one. They're very tough and we take them everywhere. Don't easily dent like the aluminum bottles. Don't add any funny taste to your drinks even the acidic ones. As long as you make sure the inner ring is in place and flip the locking bar up when needed, they never ever leak. They're great to smuggle in drinks to ball parks or movies (ticket prices are bad enough). Paint is also holding up well and they are still beautiful. I bought two blue and two red. You won't be sorry if you buy these. Well worth the money.

I bought 2 of these bottles, one for my daughter, who hikes with me, an one for myself. The lid design is the best I've seen. Easy to drink from and easy to pour some out for my Yorkie who also hikes with us. Mine is about a year old, has about 100 miles on it, is a little dented and the lid has a crack from dropping it, but it still does not leak. I have one recommendation, it needs some kind of carrying device. I bought a plastic bottle with an insulated wrap around carrier and threw the bottle away. It works ok but the fit isn't real good and the bottle falls out a lot. The reason for the dents and cracked top. I would still highly recommend this product. It fits well into a back pack or fanny pack or just carry in your hand.

Best bottle cap: easy one hand operation, high water flow, no leak, you can just click it close or lock it for extra safety.
You do not have to embarassingly sucking on the cap just to get some water like other stainless steel bottles, wish they come in larger size.

THE BEST stainless steel water bottle!!!!! I looked long and hard for one with these specifications. The top pops up easily with the thumb, and latches securely. It even has a lock to keep the latch closed to avoid accidental opening. Unlike the cheaper ones sold in stores, this top is built to last! I like the shape with the curve in the middle for holding it more easily, and I found a insulated holder to fit it. At 25 ounces it's also the largest ss bottle I could find without a sports top or screw top - hate those things!!! All in all, it's a GREAT bottle!!!!

The lid on this bottle is what makes it! It is easy to open and easy to drink from and it won't leak. It is different from any other lid I have seen. The shape of the canister is also great. You will really be glad you got one!
