The Klean Kanteen 18oz Stainless Steel Water Bottle is excellent for lunch boxes and school age children. Pick your style cap. Having an insulated tote is key as it keeps their hands warm and the beverage warm or cold - whichever you prefer. You may machine wash the Neoprene totes and put the bottles in the dishwasher. However, I have found that hand washing both works much better. The dishwasher cannot get into the Kanteens very well. Buy a bottle washing brush at your grocery store. It keeps water cool for a few hours which is great for hot summer sports events. It is easy to clean, refill and carry. Both my kids love it.

I can't think of ANY negatives to this bottle, or the tote. People just need to realize they're buying a water bottle, not a thermos. The tote really helps to keep it cold or hot, but it's just a sleeve, it's not gong to keep it that way for long. Both do exactly what they're designed to do (and make great gifts).
