The Bouchet, our most elegant carrier, comes in two delectable shades of buttery leather. Elegant stitching defines the silhouette while brushed nickel hardware adds a subtle contrast. The deep, roomy pocket at the front is the ideal spot for your blackberry or iphone. The adjustable leather strap can be worn across the body or slipped smartly over one shoulder. Unlike our other carriers the Bouchet also functions as a traditional handbag. Single or double-walled? Depends on whats important to you. The single-walled canteen holds 50% more of your drink while the extra layer of stainless steel in the double-walled maintains its temperature for 8 hours.

 "Best Canteen Design Ever" 2009-12-11
By Bob God (Summerland Key, USA)
U. S. Canteen has come out with what may very well be the best canteen design ever; it is a beautifully made 3/4 scale stainless steel replica of the venerable M1910 canteen that saw service with all branches of the U.S. military from World War One through the Korean War.

While aluminum versions of the M1910 were more common, there were a number of them made in stainless steel.

I had one when I was young and it served me from Cub Scouts through college, where it somehow got away from me. I've been looking for another one like it ever since and I couldn't be happier to have found this updated version.

The U. S. Canteen replica's diminutive size - 24 ounces compared to the original's 32 - lends itself perfectly to field bags, knapsacks, purses and cargo pockets. The steel is thick enough to resist dents and dings while remaining lightweight and easy to handle.

The suggested retail price of sixty bucks is a little steep but the Amazon price of only thirty dollars is in line with other stainless steel canteens currently on the market - and this design is superior to all of them.

If you're willing to drink out of aluminum, which has been linked to ailments running the gamut from Alzheimer's disease to breast cancer, you can get an original M1910 (dated 1918) for $80 or an aluminum replica complete with aluminum cup for $25; but as for Mice Elf, I'm so happy with this 24 oz. stainless steel model that I've already ordered another one.

This is a very good looking canteen if you purchase the cover along with it. The top screws on and does not leak. Not sure how cold it will keep since I am now into cold weather here where I live.

This is a great canteen and carrier. Good quality shown everywhere on the products. Just a little on the expensive side.
