About Sigg
It all started with a simple hiker's bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Küng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit.

Great product. Recommed to anyone that wants to protect and insulate your Sigg bottle. It has a nice velcro belt clip that makes it nice for quick clipping

The pouch was not easy to get on, but it fit well once I got it on. I really like it.

"good fit but would like to change a few things" 2008-03-04
By Alex Moomaw (Pagosa Springs, CO, USA)
fits the bottle like a glove but can be difficult to get the bottle back into the pouch. the velcro strip and excessive undersized clip are relatively useless. would rather have a small handle and/or loop big enough for a carabiner to clip on.

 "Works well, but. . . " 2007-10-31

The good news is that this pouch works well. I've accidentally left the bottle full of 40 degree water in the car for an hour on a Tucson summer day (130+ degrees in the car) and still had water that was "room temperature" drinkable. In my experience, that's unusually good performance for an insulated bottle. The pouch is snug, secure, and the belt clip, zipper, and Velcro are sturdy. It's a well-made pouch.

The bad news, as a couple of people have mentioned, is the neoprene. I've had the pouch for about two months, and most of the smell has worn off, but there's still a little, enough to bother me when it's that close to my nose. Plus I'm not crazy about the feel of it in my hand. The contrast between the cool, pure water and the smelly, synthetic-feeling bottle is not pleasant. I'll continue to use it on hot days, though, because it works.

 "Drinking from a "wet suit" " 2007-10-18
By Peter T. Jensen (San Diego)
This is a fairly essential jacket for the Sigg bottle's thin but tough metal walls--especially if you're going camping, or dropping it, or letting it roll around in your car. The bottle slips in with a little bit of effort needed--a tight fit. But that makes sense. Kind of like zipping up a wetsuit.

And the wetsuit analogy is the only downside: it smells like a neoprene wetsuit. And it's right up against your nose when you drink from the bottle. Kind of ruins the pure taste of water that has been kept in a bottle you bought specifically because the innards don't leach any odd smells or tastes into your refreshment.

Hence, I prefer to use this jacket only when I'm camping.
