Sigg bottles are virtually unbreakable and are constructed with no seams, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-proof performance. They also feature Sigg's proprietary baked-on inner liner, which is made from a non-toxic, water-based epoxy resin that exceeds FDA requirements for leaching (0.0 percent) and is independently tested to be taste- and scent-neutral. Every Sigg bottle is 100 percent recyclable at the end of its life, and is backed by a lifetime warranty.

    About Sigg
It all started with a simple hiker's bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Küng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit.

    Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water?
A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating.

Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating?
A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable.

Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks?
A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top.

Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended.

Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer
A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

     "Sigg Thermos" 2009-11-12
By J. Chao (West New York NJ)
This Thermos definitely looks better than your usual plastic cheap thermos from Walmart. The thing that I don't like about it is that it is very difficult to hold in your hand without dropping it. It is something that you would need to put in your backpack. The construction looks excellent and durable. The paintjob is mediocre. I dropped it twice and there are now two large visible scratches.

I travel annually to Glacier Point, in Yosemite National Park, with the local astronomy club to set up my telescope and share the wonders of the night sky with park visitors. It gets cold up there late at night so when I was in the village I saw this thermal bottle in the outfitter shop. I figured I could do with some hot tea to keep the chill out of my bones as the temperature dropped.

Little did I realise I was going to have tea come out about as it went in 5 hours earlier, hot, very hot. I've found this thermal bottle will keep 1L of tea hot for over 12 hours. Easy to clean and care for and tough. A few dings and scratches in mine and it's still delivering soup or tea, steaming hot, up to half a day later.

It's nice to find products built to deliver service in this age of cheap knock-off products and worth every penny over the cheap stuff.

I recently bought the "Sigg Trend Line Thermal Water Bottle (1.0-Liters, Black Anthracite)", and I gotta say, It is awesome. I work as a lifegurad in the summers and I was able to put ice cold water in it, and it would stay "iced water" for my entire shift and beyond. This thing is amazing. Anyone who likes there cold drinks cold, or their hot drinks hot should have one. It doesn't leak, and you can pour from it without removing the entire lid. It is everything I hoped it would be. I am looking forward to having hot chocolate out of it once the winter temperatures hit. I give this product an A+.

     "Great Thermos!" 2009-09-12

    This thing is great!!

It keeps tea hot for over a day! I haven't used anything cold with it yet, but it's great for tea or coffee (or soup if you wanted to...).

It's well built and it holds enough liquid for a couple of people for a camping trip or an afternoon picnic.

    I highly recommend it.

     "Great Product" 2008-12-01

Well built and solid like all Sigg products. If you need a solid well made thermos that will keep things hot or cold for hours this is a good choice. Simple screw top which stays on when you pour. No fancy click tops making it easier to clean and more reliable. Simple o-ring seals the top, could probably replace it if needed. I plan to keep this as the last vacuum flask I need.

All round great piece of equipment, I would highly recommend it.
